Anti-Bullying Policy

At Soul Surf Club, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all our surfers. We believe that everyone has the right to enjoy their surfing experience free from bullying, harassment, and intimidation. Our Anti-Bullying Policy outlines our commitment to preventing and addressing bullying in all its forms.

Definition of Bullying:
Bullying is any behaviour, physical or verbal, that is intended to hurt, harm, or intimidate another person. This can include, but is not limited to, name-calling, exclusion, spreading rumours, physical aggression, and online harassment.

Our Commitment:

• We will promote a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusivity within the club.
• Our coaches and staff are trained to recognise and respond to any signs of bullying.
• We will take all reports of bullying seriously and investigate them promptly and thoroughly.
• Appropriate actions will be taken to address bullying incidents, which may include mediation, parental involvement, or, in severe cases, suspension or expulsion from the club.

Reporting Bullying:

• Everyone is encouraged to report any instances of bullying to a coach or staff member immediately.
• Reports can be made in person, via email, or through our designated reporting form available at the club.

Preventive Measures:

• We will regularly conduct workshops and activities to educate children about the impact of bullying and the importance of standing up against it.
• Our club will foster an environment where children feel safe to speak out and support each other.

At Soul Surf Club, we are dedicated to ensuring that every man, woman, and child can surf, learn, and grow in a positive and supportive atmosphere. Bullying has no place in our community, and we will do everything in our power to prevent it and protect our young surfers.
